On a MAC - How to set Gmail in Chrome as your default email
**First open Chrome and make sure your Primary email (Business) is the email it is defaulted to.**
Step 1: Using the Apple Mail App

Open the Mail app: You'll usually find this in your Applications folder or on your Dock.

Mail Preferences: Go to "Mail" in the menu bar and choose "Preferences".

General Tab: Click on the "General" tab.

Default Email Reader: Find the "Default email reader" dropdown menu.

Choose Gmail: Select "Google Chrome"
Step 2: Using Google Chrome
- Open Chrome

Click on the following sequence from the upper left:
- Chrome
- Preferences
- Privacy and Security
- Site Settings
- Scroll down to Permissions
- Additional permissions
- Handlers
- If mail.google.com (Gmail) is blocked here, click on the 3 dots and click Remove
- Make sure ‘Allow Sites to Ask to become default handlers for protocols’ is turned on

Open Gmail: Go to https://mail.google.com in your Chrome browser.

Protocol Handler Icon: Look for a gray double-diamond icon on the right side of your address bar next to the Star. “This page wants to install a service handler”
- Click on it.
- Select ‘Allow’
