Editing a link in your email signature (Microsoft 365)
This refers to Guardian's Microsoft 365 Outlook and the catalog links in the email signatures.
Web Browser Version
- Open your web browser,
navigate to office.com, and go to Outlook
- In the top right corner,
click on the gear to open the Settings menu.
- In the Settings menu, click
on "View all Outlook settings" at the bottom
- In the All Settings window,
click Compose and Reply….This brings up your email signatures.
- If you have multiple
signatures, select the one you want to edit in the dropdown box. If you
only have one signature, it will automatically be selected.
- In the signature box,
highlight the link you want to edit
If you are adding a new link, simply type the text for the link
wherever you want it, then highlight.
- Right click on the
highlighted text and select the link button.
- In the Web address (URL) box,
paste or type the hyperlink address
- Click Save and close the
settings window.
- Test by sending yourself an
email and then clicking on the link to ensure it goes where you want it to
go.
This signature will
carry over to any other computers that you use the office.com browser version.
App Version
- Open Outlook
- Click on File and scroll down
and click on Options (bottom left)
- In the Outlook Options
window, click on the Mail tab.
- On the right side, click on
signatures to open the Signatures & Stationery window.
- Select the signature to edit
- In The edit signature box,
highlight the link you want to edit
If you are adding a new link, simply type the text for the link
wherever you want it, then highlight.
- Click on the Hyperlink button
- In the Address field, type or
paste the hyperlink address.
- Click OK
- In the Select signature to
edit box, click Save
- Click Ok
- Click Ok
- Send yourself a new email to
test.
If
you use the app version on multiple computers, you will have to do this on each
machine.
